I joined Ancells Farm Community preschool in 2011. I trained in Childcare at BCOT many years ago and since then have trained at Chelmsford College to keep my qualifications up to date.

I have also completed first aid, anaphylactic training, safeguarding level four, health and safety, food hygiene, Two year training/meetings and relevant courses.

I have worked in schools, nurserys and preschools for most of my working career. I have three children and found working around their schooling suited us as a family and at the time army life.

I have worked at Ancell’s farm community preschool for five years now and have enjoyed every day. Each day is different making it valuable and so worth while. I love working with children and find the job hugely rewarding. It’s wonderful to see the children grow and develop into happy, independent, confident young people and that’s what makes our job so fulfilling.

I am married to Jay and have four wonderful children. I joined the team in March 2010 after being a member of the committee when my youngest daughter was at preschool.

My background is in Maths, a subject I have a degree in. However, teaching Early Years has become a passion in my life. I wouldn’t change this profession knowing that I can touch the lives of children and adults at the same time in different ways.

I am Deputy manager and SENCo  (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) for the pre-school, this has been a fantastic journey and seeing the progress in individual children is such a rewarding experience.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Young Persons Workforce.
